Howest University of Applied Sciences, chas 8,000 students enrolled in 24 Bachelor’s degree programs on its campuses in Ostend, Bruges and Kortrijk. Firstly, automated recruitment transforms what was once a highly individualized, time-consuming and difficult process into one that uses Microsoft technology to ensure fast, efficient candidate follow-up. To increase productivity, everything takes place via an online digital form. Relevant documents are generated automatically, so with just a few clicks, HR can immediately create an online file for each person. How easy is that?

Second challenge

Staff recruitment is HOWEST’s core business. All information must be available, transparent and traceable, for an organization that devotes 80% of its resources to recruitment. Any authorized employee must be able to control and access the tool from the moment the flow starts with external/internal job postings, followed by selection phases, and ending with an integration procedure. The HR department wants to communicate effectively and ensure that all HOWEST staff are on the same wavelength (without endless back-and-forth e-mails).

Office 365 provides a consolidated platform through which HR teams can communicate. Not only does this improve HOWEST’s internal organization, but with the integrated calendar sharing option, they can easily schedule appointments without having to constantly consult each other. What’s more, our solution adds transparency and traceability to the recruitment process. HOWEST can monitor which staff are involved in which phase of the selection process, and call in the right people when necessary.

There are compliance criteria that companies must respect when it comes to handling documentation during recruitment procedures. That’s why HOWEST needed a cloud-based tool that could centralize all information and enable large quantities of data to be processed securely.

As a fully integrated solution, Office 365 also works for documents, spreadsheets and other Microsoft files. HR staff can easily share CVs and job specifications, adding notes if necessary.
